We Need Your Help!!!
While it is relatively easy to find cats in the Plain City area, volunteers are a bit more hard to come by. We are always looking for a few good men and women (and kids!!) who would like to help the cats in our area. If you have the time and the talents (everyone has a special talent) to offer, please contact us to learn about ways you can be a B & O V.I.P. (Volunteer who Is Purrrfect).
Be a TNR Volunteer
We always need help with this very important portion of our work. Trap-Neuter-Return volunteers assist with the trapping and transporting of cats to vet appointments.
In order to help with this, you should have the physical ability to lift the traps (empty and with a kitty —we hope!— inside), need a valid driver's license, must be at least 18 years of age, and must have the patience to wait for these very smart kitties to enter the baited trap. Sometimes trapping entails rising early and going to bed a bit late, so you would need to be able to do work during the times when the cats are most active.

Fosters for Cats and Kittens in Need
There are always more cats and kittens needing safe, temporary homes than we have space for. Foster homes allow us to get the cats off the streets and into homes where they can regain their strength before going on to forever homes. Foster moms and dads provide a temporary place for these kitties to hang out and get food, love, and socialization until they can be adopted.
B & O will make sure that the foster cats are current on their vaccinations and have been tested for Feline leukemia (FeLV) and Feline AIDS (FIV). We will also pay for routine and emergency vet services (at our approved veterinarians), cat food, medicine, and any other supplies a good foster parent may need.
In order to be a foster, you must own your own home or have permission from your landlord. All other cats in the household must have tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV and they must be current on vaccinations. Foster cats are not allowed to go outside and the foster parent must agree to keep the foster cats inside. Approved adopters may need to visit your home to meet the cats. It may be necessary for foster parents to transport their fosters to adoption events or to meet adopting families. All pets in the household must be spayed or neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations.
If you are interested in fostering some very special cats or kittens, please click on the foster application. You can either fill out the application and return it to us by email: bandocats@columbus.rr.com or print the application and return by regular mail to: P. O. Box 126, Plain City, Ohio 43064.
