Check out our entry in The Animal Rescue Site's shelter stories contest. Miss Flower could help us win $2,000!

Inline Image

Miss Flower was one of our happiest rescue stories (and that is not to say that we don't rejoice over every kitty we save), so it was only fitting to enter her in The Animal Rescue Site's shelter stories contest. Flower, who was named for the little skunk in "Bambi" because of her black and white coloring, had a rough start in life, but ended her time with us in a new, happy home.  To read her story, please visit: http://www.theanimalrescuesite.com/  You can also enter your own rescue story if you have volunteered for B and O in any capacity and help us win $2,000.  The story has to be between 20-300 words and must include a fuzzy, heart-stirring photo (we know you have them). If you have adopted from us and would like to have us submit the story, just email us. We can use your photo or one we have from the time the kitty was in foster care. To find out how to submit, go to: www.theanimalrescuesite.com/

America's Giving Challenge could help us win $50,000!!

Inline Image

Black and Orange Cat Foundation is entered in America's Giving Challenge giving us a chance to win $50,000!!

All you have to do to help us is donate (no matter how big or small) by going to http://www.causes.com/donations/select_donation_method?m=566209a4&cause_id=302509

For us to win, between now and November 7, Black and Orange Cat Foundation has to get the most donations to our cause (you can donate once per day and have it count as a unique donation). We can also win daily awards of $1,000 or $500 if we can get the most people to donate in any 24-hour period.  The best thing is, it doesn't matter how much you donate, but just how many people we can get involved in our cause.  So ask your friends, family, and neighbors to make a donation--the minimum donation is $10!!!

We all have tons of friends on Facebook who could make a small donation for B and O. You can do other things, too, though, to get the word out--put our cause in your email signature or organize other people to fundraise. There are tons of other ways to help us win. Check out the Giving Challenge at www.causes.com?m=566209a4  Let's win $50,000 for B and O!!

Help us find a lost former B and O kitty near University Village on campus.

Inline Image

We need your help! If you know anyone who lives near the 500 block of Stinchcomb Drive off of Olentangy River Road in Columbus (the apartment complex known as University Village), please forward them this link about a former B and O kitty: http://bandocats.org/blog

Lydia (whose family now calls her Lilly) is a petite calico, brown, and white female cat who is only a little over a year old. Lydia is microchipped and was wearing "soft paws" over her nails the night she slipped out of the apartment.  She has been missing since the beginning of October and we are desperate to find her. We think she is probably still hiding out near the apartment, as she tends to be shy in new situations.  Please, please send this on to anyone who lives in that area and have them contact us if they even think they might have seen her.  Contact bandocats@columbus.rr.com Thank you for passing this information along!

Happy Photo of the Month: Nash licking his belly!

Inline Image

Just too cute! Little Nash and his sister, Gypsy, found their new home all the way in Massachusetts.  They even took a road trip from Ohio to get there.  As you can see, Nash is quite content in his new home with mom, Sheila! Hope this makes you smile!
