Support Black and Orange Cat Foundation by buying your Mother's Day gift on eBay Giving Works

Inline Image

Are you looking for a unique way to thank your Mom for all she does? Why not get her an item she’ll cherish that also supports a cause she is passionate about. On eBay Giving Works you can find everything from clothes and handbags  to jewelry and pottery, and they all help out a worthy cause.

There are two ways to look for gifts that make a difference on eBay Giving Works. The first is on our About My Nonprofit page www.donations.ebay.com/charity/charity.jsp?NP_ID=24868. Here you will find all the listings benefiting B and O, with 10-100% of the final sale price going to our cause.  If you can’t find something you like but you really want to support our mission, you can also make a donation through Donate Now  on our About My Nonprofit page.  To turn this donation into a gift, simply write down the amount donated and how the money will be used according to our mission statement. Wrap it in a box, stick on a bow and you’ve got a Mother’s Day gift that keeps on giving!

If your mom has been hoping for something in particular, you can still find that specific gift on eBay.  Keep an eye out for the blue and yellow eBay Giving Works ribbon in your search results to find the desired item that also happens to support charity.

Stewie and Maggie: Our featured April Kitties

Inline Image

Stewie, and his sister, Maggie, are still looking for their forever home.  Their sister, Cassie, went to her new home a few months ago, but this brother and sister dynamic duo are still hoping to find the perfect family.  Stewie and Maggie do need to be adopted together, because Maggie is a bit shy.  Both Stewie and Maggie quickly warm up to people with just a little bit of time and love.  These orange tabby kitties are about 9 months old and really deserve a happy life.  Their mom was a feral cat who was very scared of people.  The siblings didn't receive much human contact until they came into foster care and have made enormous progress.  If you don't mind shy kitties and you are willing to give these two the time and opportunity to become your best buddies, we promise, you won't be disappointed.  If you would like to read more about Stewie and Maggie or fill out an application, please go to our Petfinder site at www.bandocats.petfinder.com  A yawning Stewie is featured in the photo.

April 18-26 is World Week for Animals in Laboratories.  Every year, thousands of cats, dogs, rabbits, and other animals suffer in product testing labs.  There are alternative testing methods available and with The Leaping Bunny Program you can go online to search a Compassionate Shopping Guide to learn which companies do not test on animals. While you are there, you can also download a version or request a guide by mail so you will have it on hand when you are shopping.  The animals thank you!!
