July Kitty of the Month: Bluebell

This is a courtesy post for a fellow rescuer, Rosalind. Dear little Bluebell was recently rescued from a dangerous alley, where other cats have previously been hit by cars. She was so friendly, pretty, and wanted loving so badly, her foster mom, Rosalind, had to help her. Unfortunately, she tested positive for FIV (probably from her mother), but this is not to be confused with Feline Leukemia. Cats can live long and normal lives with FIV.

This is Thomas O'Malley. He is named for one of the kitties in the "Aristocats" movie, but this Irish name fits, because he is a stunning "ginger" boy with lovely red hair.

Thomas and his sister, Taj, were abandoned near dumpsters in a senior complex when they were only about a year old. A nice lady helped to find them an awesome home with their former mom and dad who treated all of their cats like their kids. Sadly, their mom died last year and when their dad went into the hospital with heart problems, Taj and Thomas and their two feline friends were taken to a kill shelter where they were slated to be euthanized.

January Kitty of the Month: Gryff

Gryff stands for Gryffindor, as this big sweet, gray and white tabby is a Harry Potter diehard fan! Gryff is about 8 years old. He was surrendered to Health and Harmony Animal Hospital at the end of 2012 and has been waiting for his forever home ever since. Gryff would probably prefer to be an only cat, but he tolerates the other dogs and cats that are at Health and Harmony and also all of the visitors who come for appointments. So if you have a kitty or dog that won’t pester Gryff too much or want him to play (heaven, forbid!), Gryff would put up with another furrball in his space.
